Session: How a corporate planner contributes to his a company’s strategy 

Luca, one of the most prominent event professionals in Europe, will detail his role in HP, and the key components and evolution of this multinational’s event strategy. There is an entire world in the event business outside logistics, and changing the focus means turning events as a strategic tool. How does a corporate event portfolio evolve, how to align events with corporate business messages and objectives, stakeholders management, measurement techniques… Luca will describe the keys to effective corporate event planning (in English).

Biography

Luca Favetta is worldwide Senior Director of Global Events and Programs at Hewlett-Packard International. He manages key global programs and supports and optimizes HP Global Event marketing strategy and planning. Luca is not new to HP: from 1996 to 2003 he was EMEA Executive Events Manager. Most recently, he was Senior Director Global Events EMEA at SAP with responsibility over Event Marketing strategy development and implementation for EMEA Region. Luca is a well-recognized expert in the MICE Industry, having spent more than 20 years in experience marketing. He is regular lecturer at Master in Tourism Management at Milan IULM University and at European Cities Marketing Summer School. He has been member of MPI International Board of Directors and is now part of MPI Chapter and Membership Advisory Council.
